Bulbs
The start of our fall bulb season is marked by the arrival of the Bearded Iris in late August. Shortly thereafter, we receive large shipments of narcissus, tulip and other bulbs, most of which come from Holland. We carry an extensive selection, from old favorites to less commonly known bulbs. Several popular bulbs, such as the King Alfred Daffodil, are stocked in very large quantities. Many other familiar spring bulbs, including hyacinth, crocus, muscari, allium and freesia are well represented in terms of variety and color.

Each fall we bring in some of the newest varieties our vendors offer. Selection is always best in October and November, but we remain well-stocked with bulbs that will tolerate late planting, such as narcissus, through the end of December. Paperwhites and amaryllis for indoor forcing are also available through the end of December.

Late January to early February (weather depending) marks the start of our spring season, when we sell summer-blooming bulbs. Begonias, lilies, dahlias, and gladioli are the highlights of our spring selection. Once again, we bring in new and unique offerings each season, along with the time tested favorites. The dahlias truly steal the show with their lavish colors and fanciful flowers. Vegetable starts are also available in the early spring and we plan to continue expanding our selection of organic garlic, onion, and potato starts.
